Based in Geneva, Maxime oversees the liquidity, collateral management, financial statements, risks and operations of the OCIM Group and each of its entities.
Maxime contributes to establishing financing business models in close collaboration with the CEO of the OCIM group, to whom he reports directly, and coordinates financial flows between the group’s various entities and their partners (metal producers, refineries, brokers, banks, auditors, etc.).
Thanks to his cross-functional vision, Maxime also manages the allocation of capital requirements for each Business Unit, assesses and optimises their performance, plans their budgets, anticipates their financing needs and supervises the risk management. To do this, he has developed cutting-edge cash flow forecasting tools and complex proprietary analysis models tailored to the specific characteristics of the Group’s businesses. Lastly, he works with the Head of Accounting and Administration to prepare the audited accounts set up analytical accounting and financial control systems.
A graduate of Grenoble EM (France) with a Master’s degree in Management and a Master of Science in Finance, Maxime began his career at BNP Paribas Security Services, where he was in charge of cash pooling for the Group and monitored liquidity and daily exposure in several currencies. He then joined Veolia Environnement, where he supervised cash management and market risk operations within the Front Office team in Paris, before joining Kerius Finance in Geneva as Head of Treasury. He joined the OCIM Group in April 2022 as Chief Operating Officer. A year later, he teamed up with Mawane Khalloufi, a financial analyst, before extending his remit in July 2024 to include the general treasury of the group and the development of financing strategies.
Maxime’s ability to adapt and his results-oriented mindset have enabled him to develop best practice in cash management and risk hedging in sectors as diverse as aerospace and mining.
