Maxime oversees electrum’s financing, liquidity, collateral management, valuation and brokers relationships.

Maxime is a meticulous financial engineer with a great capacity to understand and create complex models in order to get the most accurate results. He graduated with a Master in Management and a Master of Science in Finance from Grenoble EM (France). Maxime started his career at BNP Paribas Security Services where he operated cash pooling for the group, monitored liquidity and daily FX exposure in multi-currencies. Later, he joined Veolia Environnement where he oversaw cash management and market risk operations within the treasury front office team in Paris. More recently in his role as Head of Treasury Desk at Kerius Finance in Geneva, he advised over 100 companies (from SME to listed) on their FX, Interest Rate and commodity hedging program. Over the years, Maxime nurtured best hedging practices across various industrial sectors (Aeronautic, Aerospace, Automobile…) and different underlying exposures. A standout achievement was notably the structuring of a US$1B hedge on Special Drawing Rights for a large African development Bank. Leveraging on his strong analytical acumen, Maxime has developed state of the art financial and risk models at electrum. Based in Geneva, he also handles and centralizes market counterparties relationships throughout the metals value chain. With a great capacity to adapt to new challenges, Maxime manages financial operations with various stakeholders, from metals producers to banks and brokers, with a result-oriented mindset.
