Lodovico generates and trades derivatives strategies for the Precious Metals trading desk.

Lodovico is a Commodity Trader who started his career in the fund industry at Brown Brothers Harriman in Luxembourg and, after the acquisition of the former by State Street, he undertook the role of Equity Derivative Sales Trader at Britannia. Now focusing on trading Precious Metals at Electrum, he blends discretionary and quantitative decision-making to support his trading rationale. Lodovico strongly believes that deep fundamental analysis coupled with sharp technical and quantitative indicators generates sustainable alpha.

Lodovico holds a Bachelor’s Degree from USI in Switzerland as well as a Master’s Double Degree in Financial Engineering and Financial Economics from EDHEC Business School in France, where he achieved the distinction scholarship and graduated within the top 5% of his class. Lodovico is passionate about innovation and is the author of two thesis focused on algorithmic trading, namely “Analysis of Tech Stocks Sentiment with NLP” and “Finance and Machine Learning, a Focus on Algorithmic Errors”. At Electrum, he strongly contributes to the development of quantitative models and their automation.

Beyond his professional endeavours, he is an ardent supporter of Inter Milan football club and pursues his passion for cooking as an amateur chef, often indulging in wine tasting.
