Camille Robert
Commodity Trader
“Only the disciplined ones in life are free.”
Camille Robert develops and supports trading strategies for the Commodities and FX desk at Electrum.
He began his career in asset management at Amundi, where he worked with portfolio managers overseeing €300 billion in assets. Camille later gained experience in structured products and derivatives at Nexo Capital, focusing on pricing, back testing, and creating investment solutions. Now specializing in FX and Cross Commodities at Electrum, he leverages his background in engineering and finance to provide actionable analysis and quantitative tools.
Camille holds a Double Degree in General Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lille and Financial Engineering from EDHEC Business School. During his studies, he worked on projects in econometric modelling, machine learning, and portfolio optimization, building a strong base in quantitative finance.
Passionate about science and physics, Camille taught high school students during his time at EDHEC. This experience taught him the value of rigor and clarity—skills he applies daily as a Trading Analyst. He believes the structured approach of a teacher and a deep appreciation for scientific principles are key to tackling the challenges of financial markets.
Outside of work, Camille is a former high level alpine skier and remains active in sports. As the President of the Sports Association at Centrale Lille, he combined his love of sports with leadership. Today, he stays engaged through running and triathlon.
